Erika Pineros
Erika Pineros, LMHC, Qualified Supervisor, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over a decade of experience leading programs for survivors of human trafficking. She has managed federally funded Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) programs, including comprehensive case management, transitional housing with scattered-site models, and economic empowerment initiatives. In these roles, she oversaw direct service delivery, outreach, multidisciplinary partnerships, and ensured full compliance with OVC reporting, data collection, and performance monitoring. She is trained in trauma-focused modalities, including Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) and EMDR, and applies trauma-informed, survivor-centered approaches in all program activities.
Erika is an experienced trainer and presenter on human trafficking topics, including trauma and substance use, coalition development to combat labor trafficking, and participatory action research in trafficking programs. She has presented nationally and locally, including at the Southern Association for Counselor Education Conference. She is a cofounder of the Statewide Coalition Combatting Labor Trafficking and served as a victim advocate during a US Marshal Operation: Home for the Holidays (2025), a missing child recovery operation that included trafficking cases.
