Episode 3: Changing Mindsets - A Trauma Informed Approach

In this episode we discuss Changing Mindsets: A Trauma Informed Approach. Each of our guests bring extensive experience in anti sex trafficking work from a law enforcement and prosecution standpoint as well as from a local nonprofit’s perspective supporting victims of sex trafficking. Our guests will be answering questions such as what type of vulnerabilities survivors have, do victims see themselves as victims, do they seek justice for themselves, and what are some trauma informed practices agencies and organizations use in working with victims.

Justice and healing require many agencies, organizations, resources, and caring people working together in a trauma informed way. A survivor’s journey is not a sprint, but rather a marathon that requires a lot of patience. Our guest will help us better understand the value of a trauma informed approach when working with sex trafficking survivors.
